When a prostitute is murdered, Washington detective Shad Kruger (Nicholas Cage) is called in to investigate. As he gets deeper into the case, he is starting to find out that things just don’t add up, and what seemed like an open and shut case is only just beginning. After finding evidence of a cover up, he is drawing attention from the city’s most powerful men. His career is on the line, and his life is being threatened. Kruger must now find a way to save himself and solve the murder, even if it leads him all the way to the Oval Office.
